Call for diversity

The conference welcomes web developers, music technologists, computer musicians, application designers, industry engineers, R&D scientists, academic researchers, artists, students and people interested in the fields of web development, music technology, computer music, audio applications and web standards.

We particularly wish to encourage submissions from artists and scholars who are women, queer, or gender diverse, young/emerging, historically marginalized, have a disability, or who simply work outside of academia and mainstream institutions.

We note that travel is not required to publish and present work at WAC 2025, as decoupling publication and travel supports inclusive participation in our field. A limited number of registration fee waivers will also be available and will be prioritized for attenders from lower-income countries and backgrounds, and underrepresented communities in Web Audio.

We encourage independent artists, researchers or developers to contact the committee at wac2025@ircam.fr for any questions or help in developing their submission, or for support regarding registration.
